C3 Curriculum - Geared Up to Learn

Learning Zone is proud to offer our exclusive C3 Curriculum, designed for children from infancy through Pre-K. This theme-based approach blends STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with hands-on experiences that help children explore, create, and build confidence through every stage of early development.

With C3, your child is not just following a program. They are invited to experiment, problem-solve, and discover through purposeful play. Year-round themes, classroom projects, sensory learning, meaningful conversations, and guided activities are thoughtfully designed to meet children where they are while supporting their unique personalities and building a genuine love for learning.

The C3 Framework: Curiosity, Creativity, Comprehension

A proprietary approach designed to grow with your child.

Our exclusive curriculum is guided by the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards and crafted in-house by our Director of Curriculum and Learning Environments, Jamie Hubbard. The C3 Framework is a unique approach to early childhood education that focuses on three key pillars: Curiosity, Creativity, and Comprehension. These three elements work together to create a well-rounded learning experience for young children.

Rather than moving from topic to topic, C3 gives children time to build connections and grow their understanding through deeper learning experiences that unfold naturally. This helps children stay engaged, strengthen critical thinking, and develop confidence as learners, all in a way that feels fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate from infancy through Pre-K.

STEAM Learning That Feels Like Play, but Builds Real Skills

In every classroom, STEAM is woven into the way children naturally learn. Instead of memorizing facts, children explore through questions, art-based expression, and real problem-solving that makes sense for their age. From building and designing to experimenting with cause-and-effect, children begin thinking like little innovators early on. This approach strengthens early math, language development, focus, and confidence.

Building Confidence, Communication, and Kindergarten Readiness

A strong curriculum doesn’t just teach children what to know, it teaches them how to learn. We focus on building independence, communication, problem-solving, and confidence. As children progress, their learning becomes more intentional and connected. They begin to recognize patterns, express complex ideas, and develop academic skills. By graduation, your child will leave Pre-K with the curiosity and excitement needed to succeed in the next stage of their education.

Led by Education Engineers Who Bring C3 to Life Every Day

Curriculum matters, but the people delivering it matter even more. At Learning Zone, our teachers are known as Education Engineers. They guide learning with purpose, adjust to individual needs, and create classrooms that feel structured, warm, and engaging. Their role is to make learning feel safe and exciting, whether a child is learning through movement, building, conversation, or creativity. This is what helps C3 feel personal, not one-size-fits-all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Inside the Classroom: Your Questions About the C3 & STEAM Experience

How is the C3 Curriculum different from traditional preschool learning?

Traditional preschools often rely on memorization and repetition. In contrast, C3 prioritizes experiential learning. Instead of sitting at desks, children engage with their environment through hands-on activities. This approach uses guided play, sensory projects, and meaningful conversation to foster genuine understanding rather than rote recall.

Not at all. For us, “Engineering” is about the process of thinking. For a preschooler, engineering means using wooden blocks to build a stable tower or figuring out how to balance a see-saw. We focus on tactile, hands-on problem-solving rather than screen-based technology.

The “A” in STEAM stands for Arts and Expression. We believe creativity is essential for scientific thinking. Children use art to express their feelings through color and texture, and design creative solutions to the challenges posed in our C3 projects.

While our curriculum is structured behind the scenes, it feels like purposeful play to the child. We balance teacher-guided activities with plenty of child-led discovery time. The structure actually provides a sense of security and rhythm, helping children feel more confident about taking risks and trying new things.

Yes. C3 supports early literacy, math readiness, communication, independence, and social-emotional development. By the time children complete Pre-K, they are prepared for kindergarten both academically and emotionally.
